For the past 4 years, LWRCI has been developing its new machine. They now make two types of pistol caliber carbines for the commercial market. This little beast runs well in 45 with a 25 round H&K UMP magazine. Most of the NRA's new releases this year have been additions or new models, but nothing new from scratch, but the LWRCI SMG-45 is different.

The SMG-45 LWRC is a delayed clearance system with a rail system. It has an 8.5-inch threaded barrel with a suppressor attached to take advantage of the subsonic capabilities of the 45 acp. The SMG-45 also has a similar magazine that is not piston operated, but can be switched with either the right or left hand. The bolt is also ambidextrous with inserts on both sides of the gun, making it convenient for off-hand shooting. Perhaps one of my favorite things about the SMG is the paddle style rifle magazine release. It is similar to MP5 and allows you to easily change logs.

Another great feature they included was the SB Tactical side-folding brace that allows the user to fold the gun into a very small package. The SMG-45 is currently only available in .45, but plans are in the works for .40 cal and .9 mm. Conversion kits will be available in the future that can be easily swapped out for another caliber at any time. The fully automatic version of the SMG-45 fires 650-700 rounds per minute, but recoil is still controlled. The suggested retail price for the SMG-45 is $2,999, so it's not the cheapest option, but you're getting a pretty decent package for the price.

Overall, I think the LWRC SMG-45 is a great addition to the PCC world. it has some great features and decided to go in a different direction by getting the HK UMP mags and it looks great. it has good balance and didn't feel too heavy for me. I'm currently a big fan of the SMG-45, and I'm hoping it will be just as impressive once I get a chance to test it at the range. If you have any questions about the comments, leave them below. Hi Point makes their .45 carbines lightweight and easy to use. This seven-pound carbine features a polymer skeletonized stock with an anti-recoil pad. Plus, it uses the same magazine as the Hi-Point .45 ACP pistol!

And what about the appearance? Yes, the Hi Point carbine has a rugged look to it. Some call it blocky (others call it ugly). Whatever you call it, you can choose from a black, desert digital, forest or pink camo design.

Now let's talk about the features and functions. The .45 ACP carbine comes with an adjustable front sight and an adjustable rear sight with a ring ghost. There are also Weaver-style guides on the top and bottom of the gun for accessories like a light, red dot, or scotch tape. The bolt on this recoil carbine opens after releasing the magazine.

With its simple design, fewer things can go wrong. The Hi Point carbine has a reputation for reliability. It is not uncommon to hear that several hundred rounds have gone through this gun without a bullet, jam, or malfunction. You can also hear stories of rusted or old Hi Point .45 carbines that have been used without any problems (I don't recommend it!).

The best thing about the Hi Point .45 ACP carbine is its price. Why pay thousands when you can get a .45 carbine for less than $300? But that's not the only thing about this weapon.

The Hi Point carbine is an American made rifle with American components. Shooting is fun and reliable. Hi Point also offers an excellent warranty so you can feel safe with your purchase.

Given its price, you'd think the Hi Point .45 carbine would compromise on accuracy. And here you are wrong. The .45 ACP can take impressive groups at 25, 50 and even 100 yards. If you want to be pleasantly surprised, try it yourself!

Is the Hi Point .45 carbine the classiest and most beautiful weapon? Maybe not. But it's a comfortable, easy-to-use pistol. It does the job reliably, accurately, and for many years.
