2022 Trx 0-60 - In addition to the Ram TRX's impressive acceleration of 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and 60 mph in 12.3 seconds, our truck has 797 horsepower. We responded internally to the question of whether the power of the Redeye engine was slipping. -hp Daemon option.
At 6,866 pounds, the TRX weighs 1,600 pounds (!) more than the 707-horsepower Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, but it's 0.3 seconds slower in the quarter mile to 60 mph and 0.5 seconds later. That's a lot better than the Ram's estimated 0-60 mph time of 4.5 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 12.9 seconds. Perhaps these sandblasting claims could give Ford a false sense of confidence that its upcoming V-8-powered F-150 Raptor will be around for a few more months.

Maybe this is the brother of the future Ram with the Hellcat engine. Using our test numbers for the Trackhawk, the same calculations put it at 601 and 624 horsepower.

Essentially a regular Ram 1500 on steroids, the luscious TRX is significantly wider and powered by a 702 horsepower V-8 engine. Sure, there are powerful Hellcat-powered models, but no other pickup truck can eat up a pack of demons, hitting 60 mph in 3.7 seconds. 450 HP The Ford F-150 Raptor is the only real competitor to the TRX, but with over 700 horsepower. It's not a fair fight until the Raptor R arrives. Even then, it has to compete with the Ram's ridiculously luxurious interior and superb road manners, which earned it a 10 Best award and an Editors' Choice list. Life is more than just the 2022 Ram TRX
A worthy escapade nonetheless, as maneuvering through traffic or parking lots can be a hassle, and frequent refueling becomes commonplace. Again, no one ever said that owning a monster was easy.
Meet The 787 Horsepower 2023 Ram 1500 Trx Tyrant Performance Off Roader!
In 2022, Ram will introduce a new limited edition Ignition Edition for the TRX lineup. With only 875 pieces hitting the streets, the TRX is even easier to spot with its exclusive bright orange paint job. Black 18-inch wheels with special bedside graphics and machined surfaces are also part of the package. Inside, orange and copper accents also appear on floor mats, a badge on the center console, and contrast stitching in the cabin. Wondering how much one of these pumpkin-shaped super pickups costs? They start at $93,280 but include front and rear seat ventilation, a leather steering wheel, and more. bundled with features like the $100,080 Sandblast Edition is also brand new for 2022. - With Tier 2 Equipment Pack, exclusive Mojave Sand paint job and unique 18" wheels.
Although TRX is worth north of $74,000, it is a lot for the money. While the basic version is certainly well-equipped, it lacks some of the features that we would expect as standard. For example, a heated steering wheel and heated front seats are an additional cost and are only available on the Level 1 package. This raises its price to around $78,000, but it comes with upgrades. Highlights include leather seats, trunk lighting, a leather and microfiber-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, storage under the rear seat, and more. We would opt for this option, as well as the Trailer-Tow package, to increase the pickup's towing capacity.
Hidden between the TRX's bulging fenders and under its hood is a 6.2-liter Hemi V-8. This particular version, commonly known as the Hellcat engine, produces 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. During our testing, the TRX hit 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds and covered the quarter mile in 12.3 seconds at 110 mph. This makes it the fastest pickup we've tested. Despite its hefty weight and large footprint, the Hellcat-powered Ram is surprisingly slim and easy to handle on paved roads. However, his supercharged V-8 is ready to make exhilarating noises from the exhaust pipes. Of course, the TRX is designed to play in mud, rocks and sand. Along with a reinforced steel frame, it has reinforced suspension designed to flex and bind with over 13 inches of travel. It rolls on massive 35-inch all-terrain tires mounted on 18-inch wheels, giving the truck 11.8 inches of ground clearance. Ram says the half-ton Hellcat can also ford up to 32 inches. Every TRX comes with enough running gear to protect a Brink truck, Bilstein remote reservoir shocks, an electronically locking rear differential and giant 15-inch front brakes. What else is there?
While the TRX can't tow as much as some Ram models are currently rated up to 12,750 pounds, it can still tow a significant amount of cargo. It has a maximum towing capacity of 8100 pounds (100 pounds less than the F-150 Raptor) and can carry a payload of up to 1310 pounds (80 pounds less than the Ford).
Ram 1500 Review
The TRX is estimated to get a measly 10 mpg in the city and 14 mpg on the highway. Those numbers are well below the Raptor, which is rated at 15 mpg city and 18 mpg highway. We tested the TRX on our 75 mph fuel economy route, which is part of our extensive test regimen, and watched 13 miles of highway. For more information on TRX fuel economy, visit the EPA website.
Ram has redefined truck interiors with the latest half-ton pickup trucks, built with expensive materials and impeccably insulated from external noise. This level of luxury and sophistication is likely to continue in the TRX, which is offered as a crew cab with a short cargo bed. Inside, base model fabric upholstery and standard equipment are based on the Ram 1500 Rebel. However, the optional TR1 and TR2 packages help make the cabin much brighter with leather-wrapped surfaces and a combination of microfiber and carbon fiber accents. The TRX's lower flat handlebar has a few prominent paddle shifters, but there's also a floor switch located on the center console. The TRX's best options include a digital rear-view mirror, a head-up display, and heated and ventilated front seats.
Vertically in the center of the dashboard of each TRX is a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The device is equipped with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, built-in navigation and SiriusXM satellite radio. The display can be split into separate menus to allow multiple apps to be open at the same time, and there are physical buttons and buttons around the screen for intuitive operation. The truck can be equipped with a 900W Harman Kardon audio system with 19 speakers.
In its most powerful pickup ever, Ram offers a host of driver-assistance technologies, including a feature that makes it easier to hitch a trailer.
